Personal branding and online reputation are crucial for building relations, authority, and growing your business. Most internet users will Google your name before connecting, hiring, going on a date with you or responding to your email. Make sure what they find is true, positive & you’re in control of it, not someone else.

Because Google is in business of personalizing search results based on user’s location and what it knows about your browsing behavior, before you continue keep in mind that your search results may vary based on whether you’re logged in or out of Google before you start.

Follow below steps first while logged into Google and then while logged out of Google to compare.

Want to feel and be productive ? Focus only on what matters? Get through your task lists in a zip? Keep it simple. Below is a list, a reminder for what is important when we want to stay productive, focused, efficient, effective and successfully run our business.

1. Less is more.
Focus on fewer things. Your goals should be clear & actionable. Ask yourself if the task you’re focused on will get you closer to achieving your goal. Too many times we get trapped in doing small things that don’t make a big enough difference.

2. Make your goals SMART.

Make sure your goals are: Specific, Measurable, Actionable, Realistic, Timely

Specific:

Vague: ” be consistent with writing and posting blogs on a website”
Specific: “Write 2 extra blog posts per week”

Measurable:

Set a specific number you want to achieve:
Vague: “I want to earn more money next year … Read More »

Avoid top reasons why website visitors do not turn into instant customers

Posted on 29th November, by Marzena Kmiecik in Strategy, Website Design. Comments Off on Avoid top reasons why website visitors do not turn into instant customers

Website Visitors:

• Have a short attention span
• Get lost easily without a single clear direction
• Get distracted, even when given good directions
• Crave a “human element” in their online experience
• Want to read about themselves and their problems, rather than yours
• Don’t want to feel bullied into making a decision
• Want to develop their relationship with you at their own speed
• Need to know they can trust you
• See even small errors on your website as unprofessional
• Need to see a compelling reason to choose you vs. your competitor.
• Need consistency

When these issues are addressed with your website visitors, conversion rate almost always skyrockets.

A big part of adding a “human element” to a visitor’s online experience is simply ditching the corporate talk. Be natural. This is sometimes the most difficult part to overcome for website owners and website contributors. Naturally, … Read More »

So, you’ve got an idea. You’ve got a vision. You’ve defined your purpose. You’ve drawn a plan. Now, how much is this all going to cost? Running your business online is definitely more cost-effective than maintaining an office or a bricks-and-mortar. That said, there are costs that must be factored in, both in establishing the business and maintaining it. Here, we’ll divide them into two basic categories: Startup and Upkeep. If a cost falls into both categories, we’ll note that as well. Get quotes and leave room in your budget for these costs and services.Budget your resources so that you can cover at least 3-6 months. You’ll want to create the right product for your customers and have the flexibility to tweak it as needed.

You’ll need to solve a problem and solve it exceptionally in order to create a niche for yourself.

First, think about the problem you are going to solve. Are there already 20 other businesses trying to tackle or service this niche? What will your solution … Read More »

Existence Online Is Everything – Be Where Your Customers Are

Posted on 17th January, by Marzena Kmiecik in Strategy, Website Design. No Comments

Without a website, “you simply do not exist to the average consumer” and before you reflect on your success and totally disagree, consider this:

It’s Monday afternoon and I have realized that the business party I’m attending is on Tuesday and I need to get my nails done, buy a cute outfit and drop off my car to a car wash. Of course time is of the essence so I’m going to look up Google to find the beauty salon and the car wash on a way to the store.

The first couple links all look great, the spa and the car wash are on the way to the mall.  I look at their hours, read a little about the car wash services, call the spa to schedule an appointment and I’m off.

What I didn’t realize though is that your spa is … Read More »
